I'm giving midterms this week. Somehow, in a "lack of interest" haze that plagued me just before the semester began, I didn't schedule things like I'd planned and all of my classes are having their exams in the same week. I imagine it's for the best, since I tend to procrastinate with grading anyway. I didn't fully realize the amount of grading though. I have a lot of students. Now I have to do it all at once. This is what this weekend will look like:
I was busy this weekend starting up my website. I decided to purchase a domain and have a place online for my professional information, as well as a place to put information for students that isn't Blackboard. I kind of hate Blackboard (the online course software my university uses). It looks like a website that was designed in 1995. My website is going to have an awesome comic book style theme. I found all of these great free comic book style fonts here. Get some yourself! Learning web design is tough, but rewarding. I like the creative aspect. When the site goes live, I will definitely post my link here. For now, as a taste of things to come, enjoy my home-made comic of myself! I took some artistic liberties....
Oh yeah, you should become one of my peeps! If you notice at the top right, there is a list of people who follow this blog. Right now there's nobody there and that makes Sweet Lady sad. If nobody signs up, expect a long rambly low self-esteem entry in the near future.
