Hi everyone! I know, I've been MIA again, but this time there's good news. I finally turned in a complete draft of the dissertation. How did I do such a thing, you may be asking? Well, I gave myself a stern talking to about responsibilities and moving forward and then I just gave myself an unbelievable schedule. I worked each day and then came home and sat down to write until a chapter had been revised. There were 5 chapters that needed revising and two that needed writing. One week was spent on revisions, the next on writing. I'm telling you, pressing "send" felt so good. I was only bummed I sent it on a Sunday because I couldn't really celebrate. Oh well, celebrations will come. I don't have a date set yet for the dissertation defense but I'm thinking June or July. Yes, they are making me do a defense, in addition to the written and oral PhD exams and two foreign language mastery exams. WTF? Whatever, going thorough the public haranguing will most likely be what gets me through the future interview process.
I am looking forward to finally completing one of my life-long goals. I almost can't believe I pulled through.
So now that the bulk of the work is over, I can actually do some things! Like give my house a spring cleaning, do some serious crafting, and get some miscellaneous shit together.
Good things are on the horizon folks!
